...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
  counties, Hardin, Jasper, Orange and Tyler.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
  remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated
  with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1143 PM CDT, the public reported heavy rain in the warned
    area due to runoff from heavy rainfall over the past two
    days. Flooding is already occurring.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Beaumont, Lumberton, Silsbee, Woodville, Kirbyville, Kountze,
    Sour Lake, Colmesneil, Chester, Warren, Wildwood, Fred,
    Evadale, Saratoga, Thicket, Buna, Rockland, Bevil Oaks,
    Lakeview and Village Mills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River near Town Bluff.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 73.0 feet, Flooding expected in the Mont Neches,
  Barlow Lake and Sheffields Ferry communities. Some homes may
  become flooded as well, especially in the Barlow Lake community.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 71.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:00 AM CDT Saturday was 71.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 72.7 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall Monday evening. It will rise to
    72.5 feet Tuesday evening. It will then fall again but remain
    above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 68.0 feet.

  Anderson Counties.

  Neches River Near Neches affecting Cherokee, Houston and Anderson
  Counties.

For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto,
Diboll, Rockland...Moderate flooding is forecast.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 PM CDT Friday was 15.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 14.6 feet
    Wednesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 28.6 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 28.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Friday was 28.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 29.0 feet Sunday morning.
    It will then fall Monday morning. It will rise to 29.0 feet
    early Tuesday morning. It will then fall again but remain
    above flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    29.0 feet on 03/07/1992.
